What matters most to me about my funeral?
Reasonable provisions for one’s final journey
For most of us, thoughts of death and dying only become more insistent as we reach an advanced age. Then, many people reach the point when they must seriously confront the reality of their departure from this life.
In making advanced arrangements for your funeral, there are basically three options in formulating your intentions and desires and having them ready for the moment of your departure: anyone who wants to deal with only the most important points, without a contract and without pre-payment, can set down his/her desires for his/her survivors in the “For my Family” brochure.
This is the simplest form of funeral provision and can be updated or destroyed at any time.
Provisional Arrangements
Persons who want to provide detailed specifications for their own final arrangements can make a provisional agreement with a funeral parlour [an undertaker]. All aspects, except for financing, are precisely set down in such an agreement.
Pre-Arranged Funeral Contract
The question of cost coverage is only dealt with in a pre-arranged funeral contract with a recognised funeral parlour. The contract only enters into force after the agreed-upon services are pre-financed. We will be glad to provide you with a free, non-binding consultation.
Of course, we all know that every life comes to any end. However, many of us suppress thoughts of our mortality and our own deaths. Concluding a pre-arranged funeral contract can allow you to file away the topics of death and dying as a settled matter. As a rule, a will is also drawn up.
