Please note the special terms and conditions:

We generally need one to two days to prepare for transport from or to a foreign country.
We can accept commissions for transport to or from a foreign country on a pre-payment basis, special conditions on request.

Important:

The following documents of the deceased are required for the issue of an international death certificate:

passport, in the case of married couples the passport of the spouse
birth certificate with names of parents (for both spouses)
marriage certificate with names of parents
confirmation of permanent domicile
residence permit or visa.

In the case of divorced persons:

divorce decree.

Cross-Border Transportation of Urns

In the case of urn interment abroad, there is the possibility that the family members might have the urn with the ashes transported to Switzerland to the interment site after cremation (incineration). With some restrictions it is also possible to ship urns.

The crematorium will issue a cremation certificate for transporting the urn. A death certificate is to be enclosed with it.

Important:

In some countries there is a legal requirement that interment take place in a cemetery. In such cases urns can only be interred in a cemetery. In this case we recommend that you obtain confirmation of receipt from the cemetery before transport.
